Thefirsttoolforgainingconfidenceisknowledge。Knowledgeofyourownstrengthsandlimitations，andknowledgeofthearenainwhichyouwishtoexcel。Butknowledgealoneisntenough。Knowledgeleadstoconfidenceonlywhenitisvalidatedbyexerience。Wetestthevalidityofwhatwethinkorbelievebyuttingthetheoryintoactualracticeandgatheringdataorfeedbackfromtheexerience。Ifthefeedbackisositive，weassumeourtheoriesarecorrectandactaccordingly。Ifthefeedbackisnegative，theboldamonguswilladjustourcourse，whilethemoretimidoftenallowthenegativefeedbacktostothemcold。
